How Nanojury works
JURY - these twenty five people come together to form the core of the citizens' jury. They have been drawn at random either from the electoral roll or via other techniques that ensure it is inclusive of as diverse groups as possible.
WITNESSES - these are the individuals who are charged with informing the jury on the matters of which they have particular knowledge.
OVERSIGHT PANEL - this is made up of individuals who come together to ensure that that a range of perspectives are provided to the jury, with no single perspective or policy option being over-represented. Both those supporting the jury financially and those with specialist knowledge are represented here.
FACILITATORS - this group attempts to ensure that everyone on the jury has equal opportunity for a voice and that the process as a whole achieves as much influence as possible.
SCIENCE ADVISORY PANEL - gives advice on technical aspects of future scenarios, witnesses and other means of allowing the jury to form an informed decision.
